As we write this, we’re watching the pasture closely—our cows are just about ready to calve, and every birth feels like a small miracle. These quiet moments on our small hobby ranch ground us and remind us why we care so deeply about the rhythms of nature.

But this week has also brought heartache. Torrential rains and unexpected flooding have affected friends and neighbors in Texas, very close to our daughter Allison (she is quite fine), as well as New Mexico, North Carolina, and even in my home of Chicago. It’s a sobering reminder of how rapidly our environment is changing—— and how those changes are showing up in the places we love to travel to, and live in. We know you share our deep sorrow and condolences for the loss, while also celebrating the many rescues and acts of kindness we are seeing from everyday heroes.

Travel & Climate: What You Should Know

From rising heat in Europe to smoky skies in the Rockies, climate change is becoming part of the travel conversation. As your travel advisors, we’re here to help you navigate those shifts—whether that means knowing the best times to go, choosing eco-conscious cruise lines, or just making smarter, more sustainable choices.

If you ever want to chat about how travel is evolving—or how to explore with purpose—we’re all ears.

A Personal Hello

Some of you we have yet to meet—and we would love to change that!

We live in Lake Placid, Florida, but have spent many years living in Fort Myers (since 1989, so 'home' to me). I am originally from the Chicago area, and am a Hoosier through and through (if you don't know what that is, Google it!)   Sam is a sixth-generation Floridian who, according to Sam, bleeds orange juice and white sand. Most importantly, we believe in the kind of service that feels like family.

What matters to us:

We don’t want “clients.”
We want relationships.
We want to hear your stories, know your dreams, and help you discover this beautiful world in ways that feel deeply personal.

TSA News: No More Shoe Removal?

A little travel scoop: The TSA is testing new technology that may let you skip the hassle of removing your shoes at airport checkpoints.

After nearly two decades and almost since 9/11, passengers going through airport security in the U.S. will not have to take their shoes off .

U.S Department of Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem said the change would "make screening easier for passengers, improve traveler satisfaction, and reduce wait times.” The U.S. Transportation Security Administration will eliminate the requirement gradually at airports across the country.

This is part of a broader move to make flying smoother and safer. We'll keep you posted as this rolls out across the country.
